Plaxo.com began as a website for members to create and manage their address books online.

It then launched Plaxo Pulse in August 2007, which introduced social networking to the Plaxo.com community.

Plaxo Pulse allows members to pull in feeds from their various activities across a other social networks.

For example, they can pull in pictures they’ve posted on Flickr.com, or their activities from Facebook, or their activities on MySpace.com.

And all these activities are then published in the Pulse Feed, which can be viewed by all the members who are networked into a member’s profile.

Plaxo Pulse also provides members with a calendar to publish their various activities.
