MiGente.com is a social networking site targeting the Hispanic population in the United States.  The site is mainly focused on Hispanics who use English as their primary language.

As of June 2007, they had 2.8 million members.  This niche-based social networking site is owned by CommunityConnect.com, which also owns BlackPlanet.com, AsianAvenue.com, Glee.com, and FaithBase.com.

Profile Pages
The profile pages can be customized by each member with themes and colors.  And members may post pictures, videos, blogs, and list of friends.

News Section
The news section of MiGente is a Digg-style news aggregator where users submit stories and vote them up.  There isn’t a way to vote down a story as of April 2008.

Demographics
Migente.com averages about 500K unique monthly visitors in the United States, and attracts a Hispanic demographic within the ages of 18 to 34.  46% of visitors are between the ages of 18 to 24.
