Capazoo
Capazoo is a social networking site that is based around entertainment. It encompasses all the features of a regular social network – like photo galleries, video areas, profile pages, and blogging.
Capazoo allows members to “tip” their friends and other members with “Zoops,” which may be redeemed for actual cash. One Zoop is worth about one U.S. penny, and they can be earned by posting interesting content, inviting friends, or simply being given them from other members.
The interface is multi-lingual and users may choose between Canadian French and English.
Capazoo has apparently never received funding from venture capitalists, and has only made money through private investors like the National Lampoon, NBA, NHL, and the NFL.
Demographics
The site has been increasing in membership, and had around 13 million unique visitors in March 2008. The majority of members are from Canada and the United States.
